- 🚢Product Background: USS Enterprise was a Yorktown class aircraft carrier that served throughout World War Two. The ship particpated in most battles of the Pacific War, and earned more battle stars (20) than any other American ship in the Second World War. The ship was known for her fighting qualities and luck, being one of only three American carriers from before the war to survive the whole conflict. In the Battle of Okinawa, Enterprise took a kamikaze hit that knocked her out of commission; she was still under repair when Japan surrendered. The most decorated American ship of World War Two was unceremoniously scrapped in the 1950s, a fact that infuriates many, including me.
