Background: The Su-37 fighter (Russian: Су-37 "Терминатор", Latinization: Su-37) is a single-seat, multi-role prototype high-speed military plane developed and produced by the Russia Military Airline. Since the Su-37 is one of a series of new aircraft derived from the Su-27 fighter, it continues the NATO code name of the Su-27 and is called Flanker-F. The Su-37 made its first flight in April 1996 at the Zhukovsky flight testing center near Moscow.
