- 🚢Background:
The Blücher was a heavy cruiser of the Admiral Hipper class, as the lead ship she was originally intended. She was ordered by the Kriegsmarine under the household name Kreuzer G and named after the Prussian Field Marshal Blücher.
The class was named after the second ship, the Admiral Hipper, because the Blücher was delayed in construction and the Admiral Hipper was launched four months early.
The Blücher's first combat mission during the invasion of Norway, the "Operation Weserübung", led to the total loss of the ship on April 9, 1940. Before that, the Blücher was released from the trial relationship on March 30, 1940. Full combat readiness was to be declared from May 3, 1940. On April 7, 1940, the high command of the Navy was informed in writing of the training deficiencies in the areas of heavy artillery, combat service and the damage defense. - 🚢Since our MOC sets are brand new, it requires 15 days handling time from order to shipment, then shipping takes about another 15 days.
